Teacher's notebook

All your classes,in one notebook.

Every teacher's own notebook, with or without a school: their classes and students, attendance for every lesson, marks, follow-up notes and printouts.

  • No school needed
  • No school sees it
  • Export it to Excel at any time
The teacher's notebook: a class's marks shared out over its assessments, and today's lessons on its home.
What is inside

Everything you need for your classes, in one place

From the class list to the printed grade sheet.

Classes and students

A whole class from one file

Upload the class list from an Excel, Word or PDF file, or paste the names, and review them before they are added. If the file holds several classes, every class is read.

  • Names and numbers are read for you
  • Repeated names are flagged
  • Only a name, a number and a note for each student
Attendance

Attendance for every lesson

The notebook suggests the lesson on now from your week, and you mark present, absent, late and excused. The class register gathers the month's lessons for each student.

  • Each student's attendance rate
  • A flag for three absences or more
  • The day's attendance sheet, ready to print
Marks

A total you share out over the assessments

Set the class total and share it out over quizzes, homework and participation; each student's marks so far and percentage follow. When an assessment changes the total, the notebook asks before it changes any mark.

  • Quizzes, midterms and finals, homework, participation and projects
  • Bonus marks on top of the total
  • Marking as a list, or one student at a time
Follow-up notebook

Follow-up notes with a reminder

Write a positive note or a warning for a student and set the day to follow up; it appears on that day on the home page and in Follow-up.

  • Ready-made titles, or your own words
  • Postpone a follow-up to the next school day
  • Each student's notes in their file
My week

Your week's lessons, with their times

Place your classes on the days and lessons of your week, and the home page shows today's lessons: taken, on now and still to come.

  • Working days as you set them
  • Up to twelve lessons a day
  • The lesson on now opens taking attendance
Printouts

Grade sheets and student reports on paper

A class's grade sheet with its assessments and averages, and a report for each student with their attendance, marks and notes, under a letterhead with your name.

  • The monthly attendance register
  • The whole notebook exported to Excel
  • Your name or your school's on the letterhead
Privacy

Your notebook is yours

The notebook belongs to your account alone, not to a school.

  • No school sees it

No principal or colleague can open it, and nothing leaves it unless you ask.

  • Your data stays with you

Export the whole notebook to an Excel file at any time.

  • Deleted with your account

And when you delete the notebook, it offers you a copy first.

With your school

Your school and your notebook, in one account

If your school uses DigitalSchool, you move between the school and your notebook from the same account, and each keeps its own data.

  • Join your school later, and your notebook stays with you
  • The app opens where you were last
